It replaces public cloud-based LLMs with a local LLM, providing multilingual translation, as well as multilingual assistance with document handling, programming, analytical tasks, reasoning and other tasks, while also enabling continuous internal improvement in these and other areas.

About

RAGnarok is an application based on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), an AI technique that finds relevant information in a custom knowledge base based on the meaning and context of a query, and then uses it to generate context-aware responses.

Users interact with RAGnarok through an LLM. When users upload their documentation, RAGnarok splits it into smaller chunks, converts each chunk into a vector embedding, and stores these embeddings in a vector database. When a user submits a prompt, RAGnarok retrieves the most relevant chunks and inserts them into the prompt, with instructions for the local LLM to base its answer on this material first and supplement it with knowledge from its own training only where needed.

Purpose

RAGnarok brings a new level of broad, context-aware search across internal documentation. It significantly expands the capabilities of current knowledge base management and search tools, which are limited to keyword-based fulltext search.
